I grew up for most of my childhood close to Salem, Arkansas, and I am a 2008 graduate of SHS. I then spent my college years at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. I graduated with a B.A. in Mid-level Education in 2013 with a focus in Math and Science. I also have a minor in Youth and Family ministry.
I am currently the 6th Grade Math teacher here at Valley Springs. I started my career as a teacher here at Valley Springs, and this is my fifth year with the district. I'm very blessed and thankful to work with such wonderful faculty/staff and students!
I have several interests and activites that I love to do when I am not teaching. I help work with the youth group at a local congregation, and that has been such a blessing to my life. I love spending time with my friends and church family. I also (and most importantly) have a wonderful wife, Vanessa, who has been such an encouragement to me. We got married in November 2014 and I'm very thankful to have her in my life. We also just welcomed our daughter, Arabella, into the world this past September and she has been such a joy and blessing to us.
I also really enjoy anything and everything outdoors! I especially love to run 5k's, swim, hike, and hunt. I enjoy playing ping pong, going to the movies, and reading. I am also a big fan of 3D archery and anything archery related in general. At some point I would like to learn to fluently speak another language and to play the guitar. I believe we should never stop learning!
