Monday:Begin Rock Cycle Unit.
Rock Cycle probe to reveal students ideas about the origin of rocks and their misconceptions. Then, I will present slide show for notes. We will do a think-pair-share on how uniformitarianism helped geologists understand Earth’s history.
Tuesday: The rock cycle game. Students will be traveling around the room rolling “rock cycle” dice to complete a journey through the rock cycle.
Wednesday-Friday: Complete a rock cycle cartoon about their journey through the rock cycle.
