I grew up in a small town called East End then graduated from Sheridan High School in 1992. After graduation, I moved to Harrison where I attended North Arkansas College on a basketball scholarship. It was during this time that I met my husband and grew to love the Ozarks! I eventually completed my Bachelord Degree in Elementary Education through Arkansas Tech University then obtained my Masters Degree in School Administration through the University of Central Arkansas. In 2014 I attained my National Board Certification.

This year starts my 21st year of teaching. Since coming to Valley Springs 18 years ago, I have been teaching 6th grade. I currently teach science to all 6th grade students and one class of Social Studies.
Prior to working at Valley Springs, I spent two years at Bergman Elementary. While there, I taught a 1st grade reading and 5th grade.
I met my husband Brent while attending North Arkansas College. He graduated from Valley Springs and has lived and worked in this community his entire life. We have been married for 24 years and have three wonderful children who are also students at Valley Springs.
In my free time I love to be with family and friends! My kids are very involved in sports; therefore, much of my time outside the classroom is spent at a ballfield or gym.
