7th grade Science Teacher
I graduated High School in at Yellville -Summit in 1993. It took a while for me to know what I wanted to do with my life. God one day led me to where I am today. I graduated from ASU in 2007 and was lucky enough to start working at Valley Springs Middle School.
I have a Bach of Science with plans to begin my Masters possibly in 2017. I drive a school bus and have a class A CDL with a bus endorsment and passenger license.
This summer I attended several Science of Reading classes. I ‘am excited to incorporate what I learned to this years circulumn.
I started teaching at Valley Springs in 2007. I taught 5th grade science for four years. I then taught 6th grade Social Studies for two years. Then returned to 5th grade science for the last two years. I then moved to the 7th grade for the last two years. I teach 3 classes of science and three classes of Arkansas History.
Valley Springs Middle School is the only school I have ever taught in. I began teaching fifith grade in 2007, but after two years, I was asked to teach sixth grade History. After two years, I was asked to move back to fifth where I am now teaching fifth grade science again.
I believe God has a plan and a purpose for everyone. He led me to teaching and then to Valley Springs where I thank him daily for the opportunity to serve and teach. He has been the biggest impact on my teaching experience.
