My school career began at St. Joe School in St. Joe, Arkansas. I am a member of the class of 1997.
In May of 2010, I graduated from Arkansas State University. My degree is in middle level education.
This is my first year to teach at Valley Springs. I’m super excited to be here and can’t wait to get the year started! Currently, I am teaching 6th grade world history for the 2017-2018 school year. In years past, I’ve taught at Green Forest, Jasper, Leslie, and St. Joe schools. Science is what I have the most experience in, but I’ve also taught social studies, math, and literacy.
My highschool sweetheart and I have been happily married for 17 years. We have 3 beautiful children together and they love to play around with the many chickens, guineas, ducks, and dogs we have around our place. Max, our schnauzer, keeps us all in stitches.
When I’m not busy teaching or preparing to teach I enjoy taking pictures, reading the latest middle school release, crocheting, swimming, camping, listening to music and spending time with family. My porch is full of bird feeders and it’s common to find me in a rocking chair on the porch gazing at flowers or watching my birds.
