  1. For each day school is cancelled, use this task list to plan your activities.  For each day select a different combination of two tasks.
  • Clean out the refrigerator.  Remove everything & clean the interior with a cloth & hot soapy water.  Throw away expired foods and old leftovers (get permission first!).
  • Wash, dry, & put away the dishes.
  • Do the laundry: wash, dry, fold/hang up, & put away.
  • Sweep, mop, or vacuum the whole house.
  • Clean your room (clean, organize & de-clutter).
  • Clean the bathroom toilet(s).
  • Clean the tubs or showers.
  • Clean the sinks and vanities in each bathroom.
  • Dust the entire house.
  • Take care of clutter in every room.
  • Straighten up the porch.
  • Cook a meal for you and your family.

  1. Next, write a thank-you note:
  • To someone in your household that often does the above tasks for you.  Express your appreciation.  Also, tell him/her what you did to contribute to the household.
  1. Then write a Reflection and bring to school when we return:
  • Tell what two chores you completed per day, and why you chose those.
  • Describe how doing these things for your family, how helping, made you feel.
  • To whom did you write a thank-you note? How did they respond?
