About Deanette Lynch

Hi, my name is Deanette Lynch. I am the 9th, 10th , 11th , and 12th  grade special education teacher. This is my 13th year to be at Valley, and I love it here! It is a joy to teach at such a wonderful place. I teach resource English, math, and transitions. I am the school’s coordinator for Special Olympics, as well.

A graduate of Mountain Home High School, I have a B.A. in Communications and a B.S.E. in Journalism from Ouachita Baptist University.  I also have graduate hours in special education from the University of Arkansas.  My husband, Steve, and I met at OBU and have been married 33 years.  He is the boys' basketball coach at Jasper High School. We are very proud to say that our two children are Valley Springs graduates!  Our son, Trey, an OBU grad, has been coaching high school basketball for 4 years. He is the boys and girls coach at Conway Christian High School in Conway. Cassie, our daughter, also an OBU grad, is a 2nd grade teacher at Alpena Elementary School.  Education is very important in our family, and we love sports!
