About Deanette Lynch

Hi, my name is Deanette Lynch. I am the 9th, 10th , 11th , and 12th  grade special education teacher. This is my 14th year to be at Valley, and I love it here! It is a joy to teach at such a wonderful place. I teach resource English, math, and transitions. I am the school’s coordinator for Special Olympics, and I am in charge of the  high school’s Community Service Learning Program, as well.

A graduate of Mountain Home High School, I have a B.A. in Communications and a B.S.E. in Journalism from Ouachita Baptist University.  I also have graduate hours in special education from the University of Arkansas.  My husband, Steve, and I met at OBU and have been married 34 years.  He recently retired after coaching high school basketball for 35 years. We are very proud to say that our two children are Valley Springs graduates!  Our son, Trey, an OBU grad, has been coaching high school basketball for 5 years. He and his wife, Amy live in Conway, where he is the is the boys and girls coach at Conway Christian High School. Cassie, our daughter, also an OBU grad, is a kindergarten teacher at Alpena Elementary School.  Education is very important in our family, and we love sports!

I personally am a college football fanatic, love reading, listening to music, watching good movies, and enjoy weekend road trips.
