Mrs. Williams will accept applications for the 1985 Alumni and Valley Springs Alumni scholarships until tomorrow morning. We have had very few applicants for these foundation scholarships and want to give students another chance at getting some money for college or trade school! Please encourage the seniors in your life to fill out at least one scholarship application this year.
Bus drivers will be using their discretion 4/7/25. Rt 7(Loggins) won't run Newton Line (can meet bus @ 7am @ Estes & Sulpher Mtn Rd). Rt 9 (Roberts) won't run Old Olvey Rd. Bus Rt 11 (Dearing) won't run Clear Creek Rd. Call 870-302-3045 if your student can't safely get to school
Scholarship Opportunity - DUE TUESDAY 4/8
Due to there being very few applications for the Valley Springs Alumni Scholarship, the founders of the scholarships have generously decided to extend the deadline to next Tuesday. I will need those applications first thing that Tuesday morning.
Also, please note this scholarship is also for Trade School Students! If you are pursuing any kind of trade such as nursing, cosmetology, trucking, etc. please APPLY. Our community members put so much work into gathering this money to essentially give away to deserving students, they are begging for more applicants and the application is short and can be done in a couple of hours.
If you apply for an Alumni scholarship you also need to apply to the Alumni Class of 1985, they look at both.
Mental Health Services. The Valley Springs School is happy to partner with Seed Digging to provide additional mental health services for our students. Please see the attached flyer for more info. You can fill out a referral form by using the QR code on the flyer.
The Track Meet, Softball Game, and Baseball Game scheduled for today have been canceled/postponed.
The Annual Plant Sale will begin April 12th. The hours of operation for the greenhouse will be Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm and Saturday 9 am to 5 pm.
FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT HAVEN'T SEEN THE FORECAST FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS, THERE IS A CHANCE FOR SIGNIFICANT SEVERE WEATHER AND LOTS OF RAIN.
TODAY WE ARE TAKING TAKE TO REVIEW OUR SEVERE WEATHER PLANS AND ARE MAKING SURE THAT WE ARE READY IN THE EVENT THAT SEVERE WEATHER IMPACTS OUR AREA.
THE MAIN OFFICE AND BUILDING OFFICES WILL BE MONITORING THE WEATHER THROUHOUT THE DAY. THE SAFETY OF OUR STUDENTS AND STAFF IS OF OUR UPTMOST CONCERN.

Spring Picture Day will be Tuesday, April 1, 2025. ALL elementary students will have their pictures taken. If you want a spring picture taken of a Middle School or High School Student, please send a note with your student indicating he/she is to have his/her picture taken. Spring Break Activity at the Burlsworth Youth Center March 24th - 28th 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. For grades K - 6th there is crafts, swimming, gaming, & more! Open Gym available for grades 6th -12th. Price is $8 per day or $40 for the week. Register online @ HarrisonParks.com. Must bring own lunch.
It's that time of year again, summer Baseball and Softball Sign up for grades 3-9. This is a great opportunity to play with your fellow Tigers and learn the game. The district covers most of the cost and for $15 you get a jersey to keep.
