We are proud to announce that Crystal Hargrave, a paraprofessional at Valley Springs School District, has been named a recipient of the Mitchell‑Fair Grant from the @Arkansas Retired Teachers Association (ARTA)!
Crystal plans to use this grant to pursue her Bachelor’s in Education as she works toward becoming a licensed teacher.
Only three grants were awarded this year through a competitive application process, and we are so proud to see one of our own honored in this way.
Please join us in congratulating Crystal on this incredible achievement and in wishing her the very best as she continues her journey in education!

The Valley Springs School District is selling three (3) school buses that have 5.9 Cummins engines and Allison transmissions. Buses are being sold As Is/Where Is and reserve bid of $1,000 per bus. An inspection of buses is recommended prior to submitting bid(s). Call 870-302-3047 to schedule an appointment for bus inspection. Bids will be accepted until noon Tuesday, July 22, 2025. The Valley Springs School District reserves the right to refuse any and all bids. Payment must be received and buses removed within 1 week of bid acceptance. Hot off the Press! Your Valley Springs Staff have received $85,000 in incentives from the Arkansas School Merit Pay Recognition Program for their exceptional teaching. The lowest amount that one of these 20 teachers will receive is $1500 and we have two teachers that will receive $10,000, which is the highest award possible. Way to go!
